We got there early, the 14 that turned up were refused food, seemed a bit weird as it wasn't very busy.
One of the best curries I've ever had though.

Lovely place, beautiful setting. Lovely and warm inside with great view of river. Service very good and attentive. Unfortunately my aubergine burger had a large slice of aubergine with completely inedible skin on it so had to remove the skin. Not a major problem and our waiter sorted it out for us to make up for it so will still definitely be returning but will avoid the aubergine burger unless its thoroughly roasted or chopped.

Booked in to have a Sunday roast,as we thought it would be agood idea. Arrived abit earlier to find agood few tables available. Ordered 2 roasts one Beef & Chicken, The beef was not very tender considering it was very pink,the chicken was very tender,the roast potatoes where not good think they had sat too long keeping hot, the other thing that I always find is that the food is served on cold plates. Paying over £20,for a roast it wasn't good value . Think if you are local to this pub you are looked after abit better. No one came to see if our meal was OK.

Often you are led to believe the world is all bad with the constant flow of news but sat here for breakfast, I realised we live in a beautiful part of the world. Sat eating breakfast and a great orange juice watching the boats and badges approach and leave the lock. Just lovely.

Came here for brunch with my wife and friends on our anniversary weekend. Lovely location but what on earth was going on in the kitchen? Took over an hour of chasing to get the simplest of meals which arrived dry and tasteless. To top it off, before serving the food, the waitress even came and placed a sign on our table to say we had to be gone by noon as the next sitting was arriving. Farcical. The "Jimmy Butler's sausage patty" arrived like a tiny McDonald's cheeseburger, missing the sauces etc and nothing else on this large serving plate. Eventually they brought the sauce about ten minutes after the only mouthful on the plate had disappeared as we were so hungry. Other meals were the same. We were made to pay in advance at the bar so could not even withhold the service charge. Over £50 for four tiny cold snacks. I wouldn't recommend eating here.
