The doctors are good, but be VERY CAUTIOUS of the receptionists. They will, frequently ?lose? precription requests.My husband has heard and seen ladies on the reception gossiping about patients issues ( a gentleman with genital problems) I won?t print name of patient, as I found it very distasteful and cruel.I?ve no doubt this review will be mysteriously deleted.Awful customer facing service

I should give 1 star.. I handed my prescription to them the last Monday but they don?t proceed with it and I cannot get the medicines yet (10 days passed). I had to call them and found GP did not complete the process at all.

Been a long-term patient and our whole family has had consistently good care but the surgery is under much more pressure than 10 years ago so hopefully things won't get too much more squeezed especially considering the local development plans for many more houses.

I get that they dont want to open the practice, but when you can't actually book and appointment on line... and then you sit on hold for 47 minutes ( and counting ) to speak to someone, its not great.... either the booking system needs more appointments or they need to have another member of staff on answering the phones... there were 8 people ahead of me at the start , now I am caller 3 . I get people like to chat, but jeez !

Just signed up with this surgery. The staff have been so helpful. I get through to someone when I call within a couple of minutes, and they have helped with my enquiries much faster than I expected.

Extremely frustrating to try and get an appointment. They have an app for making doctors' appointments but not for the nurses, whom I see every three months. It is completely hit and miss as to the dates that they are taking appointments for. Great staff but absolutely terrible booking process.

With our GP shut we called 111 for help after my 2 year old son became feverish and rash covered. 111 referred us to this GP surgery to ensure we received medical advice within the hour. The doctor here refused to provide any level of care as we were not in his district.To avoid overuse of particular surgeries I could understand this policy for me but refusing medical care to an ill 2 year old is a terrible abdication of duty.

I have been going to this GP practice for 13 months. And I have slowly begun to realise what this busy practice has to deal with. I am a cancer patient since 2016 and even from the junior doctors to the most seniors.. There is a palapilable attention to detail, from every single doctor. My GP has left she was a junior.. And I hope to greener pastures also. And her replacement is a senior GP (Dr A. Birdi) and I must say given all my issues along with scar wounds, she has been a shining star for what the NHS means. In my opinion that is to be together in adversity. I believe the practice has gone from strength to strength. I am very impressed. Although I would say a BT WiFi open reach hot-spot wouldn't go a miss! It will help speed up bookings and results and further referrals. Cookham has now rolled out its "e-consult" service via its main website. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for reading.
