We had a fabulous evening at The Hartley Arms. Alan and his staff were superb, very attentive, welcoming and friendly. The food was exceptional, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The pub and restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and the private dining room looked fantastic. We will definitely return.

All I can say is OUTSTANDING! We ended up here by accident and had one of the most delectable meals we?ve had in a very long time. The Chalk Stream Trout with lime butter was divine. A flavor explosion with every bite! The strawberry cheesecake was perfection. This accidental find will soon become an intentional regular outing.

We stopped here around 1pm for a rest after walking to Donnelly Castle. The Basil pesto foccasia was incredible and we regretted that we didn't have the space for more of their food

We frequently visit this local countryside pub, and it has become a go-to spot for both nice meals and casual stops during dog walks. We love enjoying a lovely glass of wine and a cold beer while soaking in the charming atmosphere. Most recently, we ordered the Friday fish and chips takeaway for collection, and it was an incredible treat! The quality of the food never disappoints, and this meal was no exception. Whether dining in or taking away, this pub consistently delivers delicious dishes that keep us coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and a welcoming ambiance!

We went in for the very important second visit hoping it would be as good as the Sunday dinner and it was even better. From the lovely warm welcome to the chery good bye, everything about this experience meant for a perfect Saturday Night date with the wife. Consistency is always a problem when you a find a little gem like the Hartley Arms but our second visit was perfect. I had an amazing meal and tried Halibut for the first time and it was delightful, just perfect food. My wife had a burger and even that was elevated to be better than one you could get anywhere else. I am surprised they haven't got Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen, but I am also glad they don't, their guy is better!
