Menus were dirty, asked for some horseradish sauce and I'm still waiting, beef was swimming in blood as hadn't been adequately rested, the roast potatoes were more like boiled potatoes, not even close to being roasted, far too much chicken and not enough beef for the roasts, pigs in blankets looked anemic, lumpy custard, solid ice cream, over priced, grumpy waitress.

Called in for a pint on 7th Aug, and was well impressed with the upgrade to this pub/restaurant. Very courteous service at the bar.
The food looked great, so going over this week for a meal.

Went for Sunday dinner at 5.45 pm.
4 of the roasts were not available leaving only chicken or beef.
No sides left either.
Food arrived super fast but everything was undercooked other than the meat which was inedible.
No check after delivered food.told staff at end of meal with nothing but a shrug
Super disappointed will not return

Celebrated my birthday at the Shepherds House with a large group of 18 family and friends. They reserved us an area in the restaurant and put up a birthday banner. We preordered food, which was all prepared correctly, timely and tasted great. Catered well for 2 of us that were gluten free. And even looked after the dog with a blanket and treats! Special mentions to those that looked after us - Ross, Chloe, Kayleigh and Meg. Thank you.

First visit to Shepherds House and had lovely meal with geat attentive service by Ross. Good range of beers and other beverages and with a good varied menu of quality produce. Nice Chef's specials also on offer.
Very happy with everything and will certainly visit again.

Very disappointed. We were driving past and fancied a stop in, as a treat. Ordered one of the roast options, though the beef and potatoes were tough, the rest of the meal was tasty however.
It was the service which let the place down. We felt neglected for the most part, honestly wasn?t sure if this unintentional but left feeling like we don?t have an incentive to go back.. shame, lovely location, plenty of parking but I doubt we?ll return.

We popped in for a quick lunch with MiL. Service was quick, as was the food coming out which was lovely (chicken and bacon ciabatta with chips and salad and a scampi and chips). The is a dog friendly pub so if you suffer from allergies or scared of dogs, this isn't the pub for you.

I have been here 4 times in the last 6 months, twice for lunch, once just for a morning coffee and one evening meal. Every time the staff have been amazing, food is excellent, the pub is very warm and cosy and it is also very dog friendly. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning again soon!

Pub was very nice, beer was reasonably priced and served by a happy barmaid with a smile. Would highly recommend.
