Doesn't accept coins anymore, a bank really only has 3 functions on a high street and for them to forgo their ability to take coins is ridiculous.
I'm young enough to do that, but elderly folks could have a lot of time wasted over this.
They send you off to Reading or to the post office, the branch itself looks nice but it's another reason as to why I'm leaving Santander.

I did an 8 mile round trip to submit identification papers for an application and I was told they had been submitted - after waiting 15 minutes to be seen, as the counter staff were too busy chatting.
Got an email 2 days later from the ID department asking me to send my documents - i.e. there was no record of me having gone into branch.
Rank incompetence - I mean how difficult is it to scan to ID documents and send them off to your internal department?

Santander have forgotten how to run a retail branch. Only 1 staff member on who can handle cash, broken ATM, broken printer, long queues. Modern setting but service from the 1950s. Takes 20 minutes to complete a cash withdrawal from the counter excluding time in queue. Their contact centre service isn't joined up with branches so appointments need to be made for simple transactions. Getting the appointment is difficult. Sadly I may move back to HSBC who still have a branch near me.

I would have given 0 stars if I could. The lady on the cashier desk was rude and very unhelpful. I asked to swap the old £20 notes but refused it. She had 1 million excuses not to do it. I qued for 10 munites for it as she was takimg long time to serve the customer and mainly was away from the desk anyway. I work in customer service and this was top of awful. this was today 27.08.24.

Absolutely useless. I want to speak with someone at santander but it is not possible as far a I can tell despite being "valued as a private bank customer. The service (sic) is appalling

The worse branch, the young women do not n know how to do their job. They even lied saying the manager was there when she was on AL what kind of customer service is that?They should hire people how can actually do their job, only one person who was able to help me was Daniel, very efficient, patient and knows how to do his job. The young women there, are useless specially the one with huge eyelashes ?????

Appalling rude associate. Made me stand in a queue to speak with her only to take people walking off the street into her office. And blatantly looking at me like she was enjoying the power trip. So tempted to include her name but will complain directly to Santander instead. The counter staff were absolutely lovely.

Worst costumer service ever . Very rude manager walk away from me no explanation. Wanted to pay for work done for me by company holding business account with them by cash . Had invoice number . I did believe paying cash for something is still legal tender in UK unfortunately not in Santander making their own rules . Well I guess they trying to control everyone ? but with that will fall behind soon . Complete disaster pls avoid business or personal.

I went into Santander in Bracknell today with a unusual issue and the lady behind the cash counter couldnt have been more helpful she took time to listen and also asked the lady working at the front door desk to help and she called her husband who also works for santander both ladies where so helpful thank you both so much i am sorry i didnt get your names it was lunchtime on 5.11.21

Tried to put money into my account. Told to use atm. Put money into atm, it failed and said take out money (no money to take). Waited 5 minutes then machine said cannot complete. Finally spoke to someone after 15 minutes, to be told will be sorted in couple of hours. No response, so called head office after 4 hours, on hold for 45 minutes, they tried calling after 3 attempts they sent email. I then got answer phone message saying they'd found £210 of my £220 deposit is that OK? Shoddy service
