My friend went inside to pay in cash (coins) into a machine today. The machine apparently only takes notes. Even though it did not specify (only notes) on it, but the one next to it did. It ate her card & ate 2 bags of coins. Then shut down. She had to wait an hour for staff to bring her card/money out. And then it was short £2. Which she knows it was not. Having been counted in front of 3 trusted people. Counted 10 times in total! We all saw it was there. Staff were allegedly polite. But reminded her she's "lucky the machine didn't break." The branch has no banking counter. It just has a staff member behind a little desk. I agree with my friend, it looks very unprofessional, not like a real bank. And runs unprofessionally as a consequence. She didn't want to complain. But I can see she was upset! We don't recommend this bank. We use the Santander bank, near McDonald's. Never had any problems there. Staff at Santander really do try to help you & will let you bank money (coins).

The Bracknell branch closes at 4.30 pm. Why? Working people can?t access the bank if they need to pay in cash on to their account especially by end of the month to cover their expenses and bills!!!!

My first visit to the Bracknell branch was delightful. Daniel was pro-active and professional.It?s a shame they don?t have counter staff.

Walked in, instantly bewildered who to see or where to go. Eventually found a member of staff free and then was told that I can't pay my bill because they no longer have any counter staff and the nearest branches with counter staff are Reading or Henley!It's a great shame that banks like HSBC no longer consider customer needs.

You really have to try and keep your hair on with their staff.You hardly get acknowledged, but if you're lucky enough and are, the point you try to make won't be.

I am not trying to be racist here but made me to share this experience that I had with help desk staff. This is not a first time it's happening few times with same person.I live locally and want to see helpful staff at the help desk but not like the person who was at the front desk today 2nd Dec.I am sure you have a team leader or manager at the branch, please let's be a helpful not a stranger.

Absolute joke, terrible customer service. Booked an appointment and were kept waiting and waiting. No one bothered to assist us when we entered the branch. Lots of frustrated people wondering around waiting. Coffee machine is filthy and out of order to top it all off!
