We think the spa is exceptional. The range of spa rooms and facilities is much better than other David Lloyd clubs we've visited. We always have a wonderful experience.

Large, lots of options for facilities. Good size spa. Enjoyable classes. Nice crèche staff and friendly reception team.
Clubhouse food can be a bit tired, but it's okay.
It feels a bit tired, showers are a bit manky especially family x1 and disabled ones. Cleaning could improve. Only one family shower change makes it hard with little ones. Parking spaces small and not enough for families makes it a bit harder with babies.

I had a extremely nice thought this evening with beck she was absolutely nice and helpful and very well coming :-) I was very comfortable she may be very comfortable. Thank you for everything my friend Sara Handford advise this place to me . I?m so happy that I seen it and I have become a member of this club there and then .

I?ve been using the spa at David Lloyd Royal Berkshire for some time, but the experience continues to disappoint. The indoor spa area is far too bright, which takes away from any sense of calm or relaxation. The door is frequently left open, making the space uncomfortably cold, even in the relaxation zones where warmth should be a priority.
Today, the plunge pool was warm, which defeats its purpose entirely. I reported this several times and was told the manager would attend but no one came. I also asked for ice to be added to the plunge pool to help, and again, nothing happened. It?s frustrating when issues are raised and consistently ignored.
The day beds are almost always wet, so finding a dry, comfortable place to relax is often impossible. It?s disappointing for a facility that markets itself as premium.
As for the so-called ?spa garden,? it?s really just a few sun loungers and an outdoor sofa with thin, poor-quality mats. It?s not a proper outdoor spa space by any means. Instead of adding a third outdoor sauna , which seems unnecessary, the club should consider investing in better outdoor seating and proper sun loungers, similar to those at David Lloyd Brooklands, which actually offer a more premium and comfortable experience.
There?s so much potential here, but unfortunately, the current standards just aren?t being met.

I feel truly fortunate to have met Rebecca at this club. Very naturally, she became my one-on-one swimming coach?and during just a few days before I leave the UK, she used her teaching talent, the most effective methods, and genuine care to help me transform from an adult who had feared water for years into someone who is now comfortable in the water, able to stand, and even swim.
I?m deeply grateful to Rebecca?not only for her coaching, but also for being someone I now consider a friend I truly cherish.

The car parking regulations are ridiculous. I received £200 in parking fines despite being a member of DL. It is the only club I have come across where you need to register your car. The signage is completely inadequate and I even mentioned to the receptionist that I was visiting the club, yet she completely failed to mention that you must register your car. There is no warnings issued just a £100 parking notice from a private parking company. Absolutely mad

Libby in the sales team did an excellent job at showing me around DL and taking the time to show me equipment, machines and other various things there. She didn't rush and really took the time to let me ask lots of questions. She also then met me on my first day there to talk through some key things and to re-show me where certain areas were. She was very polite, kind, friendly and very welcoming. Thank you to Libby for her time and patience with me, excellent customer service.

After joining DL Royal Berkshire at the start of the month I wanted to wait a few weeks before giving an honest review. Can I start by saying Becky and Libby were fantastic. Becky gave me the initial tour of the club and answered any questions I had, she was a breath of fresh air and gave me a good feeling about the club. Libby then helped get me set up on the app and was very happy to help with any final questions. Both big assets to the club!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my first few weeks at the club. I signed up to a padel and pickleball taster session which was very fun, and am looking forward to playing more moving forward.
The club room has a very relaxed feel about it and the drinks and food are very good. However the waiting times can vary between 5 mins to 30 mins wait on busy days but found the food has been excellent. All the staff are also very friendly, especially Jessica who goes above and beyond every time she serves you! Another big asset!
Lastly I have enjoyed making use of the spa which offers sauna/jacuzzi/steam room/plunge pool/heated beds/experience showers. Very relaxed feel every time you step foot into the spa area. The only small issue I would have is the flooring outside the jacuzzi/steam room and sauna does get wet a lot but there are reminders to wear sliders on your feet at all times, it still tends to be a bit slippy. Only a minor issue.
The only 2 very small issues that I have encountered so far was the indoor pool (closest to outdoor pool) when I had a swim in the evening the ledge around the pool had hair and was quite dirty but again this is only a small issue and probably a one off. Also the presence of a member of staff in the changing rooms to make sure the showers are clean, floors are dry at all times and towel drop is not overflowing. This would make changing seamless and stress free. Again this is only an observation.
Overall David Lloyd Royal Berkshire is a great club with the facilities being a big plus and staff an even bigger plus! Looking forward to making full use of my membership.

I have recently had a great experience off the back of an appointment I had to discuss joining the club with Tom, the Sales Manager.
He took the time to understand my needs and tailored the tour to what I was after. After the appointment I have since gone ahead and joined the club and it?s been the best decision made. I am blown away by the variety of facilities available from Padel, spa, outdoor swimming pool, pickeball and so much more! So far the experience I have received is 5 star!! Highly recommend!
