We stopped on way back from family day out for daughters birthday and the food was good and cooked fresh
We were a family 3 adults and 4 children and they all loved the meals

The welcome from the staff was wonderful. Made us feel at home instantly.
The standard of the food served was nothing short of 110% perfect. Cooked fresh to order, served wonderfully and totally delicious

Supposed to be friendly. I sat my kids outside to eat their food as they wouldn?t eat the food on offer. And was about to order food and drinks probably to the value of over £60
When a miserable woman came out and said your kids can?t eat their food here they have to go and eat elsewhere over by the hotel.
So we left very poor customer service wouldn?t bother going there again.

I stayed in the hotel opposite and had my evening meals here. The food is excellent and good quality and fairly priced. Service was warm and friendly. Will definitely eat here again next time. Loved it!

This place is amazing! Service may be a little slow if there are a lot of you (I came with a large group of oldies) BUT when the food is cooked fresh, the portions are really good and piping hot it's more than worth the few extra minutes waiting.
I had the Chicken Curry. A proper curry, not too spicy but absolutely cooked from scratch and beautiful.
The room is really bright and airy. The staff are delightful.
If you are on the A1 you should absolutely give this place a chance.. way better than any crappie service station!!

We had an absolutely fabulous meal at Coteys while staying at the Redwings Lodge next door.
We had no idea what to expect as the lodge was booked mainly for it's convenient location and low price while visiting family in the area. But Coteys is a hidden gem.
The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is absolutely fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough.
We've also learned that they regularly host music events and bikers' events too.
If you live nearby or are passing through, it's well worth checking them out. And if you're travelling on the A1 southbound and need a stop-off for lunch or dinner, Coteys would be a far better option than the usual service station fayre.

Stopped here for a late lunch. Good selection of drinks. The menu isn't massive, but includes everything you'd want from the grill along with some favourites including lasagna, curry and also ham egg and chips. Service was friendly and quick given that everything was cooked to order. Sensible prices made our lunch even better. Only four stars as it wasn't as clean as it could have been - bits of food and splashes on the floor, but it wouldn't stop me from coming here again.
