This useless doctors surgery willingly denies disabled vulnerable patients medical treatment. They are a disgrace to the medical profession

Extremely poor service. Members of staff here think they can hang up on patients and generally act in a rude and dismissive way. Best avoided

Doctors and nurses are excellent let down by rude reception staff.

I am amending my review of Shefford Health centre as things are improving. The old call system was a nightmare but they have no introduced a web based system and this means I have now more reliably been able to get an appointment. Think there is a little way to go yet but it?s definitely improved.

I've seen the negative reviews on here and I really felt that I had to put my experience on here. I'm not trying to take away from anyone else's point of view, but I have had nothing but a first rate service from this GP surgery. Yes, you can't get a face to face appointment very easily and all the appointments go out in the morning first thing. Being a military family, we get experience of GPs from all over the country and I'll tell you now, that's just the way it is everywhere. That's not the surgery's fault, it's just an extremely busy, overworked and underfunded NHS system. The staff at this surgery are very friendly, kind and helpful. They'll do anything they can for you. The admin manager Ashley in particular has gone above and beyond to help our family. I've only had 2 appointments with the medical professionals - one on the phone with Dr Baxter and one face to face with a physiotherapist at the surgery. They were both very professional, friendly and obviously work their socks off. I honestly can't fault them and I am very grateful to have them as our local surgery while we are here.

Reception staff are very rude and in caring, once you do get to see a doctor they are amazing, such a shame the reception is so poor

When you can actually get to see or speak to a Doctor, they are very good. The problem is getting in contact with them, whether by phone or on the internet, it is difficult to get through. In my experience all appointments are taken within 10 minutes of the opening at 8.00 a.m. The telephone (both appointment and general numbers) either ring for a long time and then cuts off or is engaged. I have been with this practice for over 45 years and contacting the surgery has been getting more and more difficult over the years. It would be nice to feel that when you have a medical concern that you would be able to speak to someone, at the surgery but it appears that we have to resort to 111.

Worse surgery ever!!!!Receptionist are rude as hell. Book an appointment and then wait 2 weeks, then they ring you a day before cancelling because they?re useless and didn?t get the timing right. Then tell you to ring at 8 to ring at 7.55 by time you get through boom no appointments. Then again same at 10 ring at 9.55 and boom get through 10.03 nothing. A joke of a surgery!

After having really good service at this doctors surgery through many appointments, after a phone call today I am Very disappointed with service given from receptionist as made my partner feel like a horrible mum, we have 3 kids, one disabled and two under two. We missed 1 appointments due to our middle child being very ill as well as ourselves, the receptionist made her feel very ashamed and depressed about this. No one should be made to feel this way as they don?t know what our state of minds are like. Disgusted to say the least

Absolutely disgusting the lack of availability with regards to getting an appointment!! Sometimes there is maybe 2 staff taking calls in the morning who are seemingly told by doctors prior not to allow anyone an appointment! Needed 3 hospital trips and trips to walk-in because there is NO AVAILABLE APPOINTMENTS in fact the receptionists advocate to call 111.It is hardly surprising when their "daily update" hasn't been updated in years and their CQC review is from 2019 and only "good"Disgusting waste of space as most of the time the doctors are either ill or training consistently!!!!

We all know that the NHS is struggling, and no doubt the employees are committed to patient care, however, stress of work combined with an attitude which does not allow them to admit mistakes are happening means that patients suffer but cannot complain. Blind faith that nothing is ever their own fault, combined with an apparent inability to challenge their own beliefs means that improvements will only be achieved by accident and with great pain.

Disgusting, I was 13 when I moved to this surgery and the partners have supported me almost all my life. In 2010 I moved 1 mile from my previous address and told its not a problem but was on the border for catchment area ....so randomly after 13 years I get a call to say leave in the next 2 weeks as their catchment area has changed. Now my family all have to find someone new and gain a rapport with a new surgery.

Called after 10am and was given a choice of 3 appointments the next day. Never have a problem and more than happy with service received
