Customer services are rude and not interested they refuse you to speak to a manager!

Clean comfortable beds, does the basics that you need

Excellent stay. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast which set us up for a long drive back to Scotland.
Shower could have been a little bit more powerful.
Ideally situated next to the M1 at Luton and next to an Esso petrol station.
Window in room was good because I could deaden sound from motorway and busy main A route and roundabout, but have a degree of ventilation.

Location is pretty decent, right next to the slip road on the M1 to London. The service from Travelodge is not great, contact centre, website and app don't operate adequately. The room is worse, the Ensuite door didn't close, the ensuite and room felt like a youth hostel. I wouldn't recommend to be honest, only 2 positives is the location and parking.

Parking was hard but nice hotel

Avoid like the plague.
We arrived and parked in the carpark. Carpark is fine. Got our room key went up to the room. Room wasn't bad, it's a Travelodge you don't expect much, it was better than expected.
Went down to eat in the restaurant. Food was painfully slow and not good, drinks were over priced, the food was not cheap enough to turn a blind eye. It was edible, but ultimately rubbish.
The real problem starts at night. There are cars racing up and down the road all night, it finally stopped at 3am. They sit in the petrol station which is right outside the hotel revving their engines for 5 minutes at a time before racing off for a lap of Luton (god knows why it's a hole) then coming back to rev up again. It's 5-10 mins of revving every 20-30 mins from about 10pm to 3am. No police showed up, there was an argument outside just after midnight, we were on an early flight out and at 4am (feeling very rested after that night) the stairs inside the building had what appeared to be vagrants drinking wine sat on them.
I'd rather sleep in the car on the hard shoulder of a motorway, it would be more relaxing.

Room was small and hot, there appeared to be no air con and the upper floors of the hotel were very stuffy.
As for food, don?t bother using the bar cafe for dinner unless you?re not really hungry. It opened at 5, our order was placed at 5:20 and after we?d paid and settled down with drinks the staff appeared to tell us it was going to be an hour for the food. The place was empty apart from one person also waiting for food. My husband is diabetic and my child has special needs so we decided it was best to wait it out rather then go looking for somewhere else. The food took 50 minutes to arrive and when it finally did it was both overcooked and lukewarm. The chips were rock hard and the burgers dripping liquid everywhere. I told the staff it was cold and was told to complain to reception, reception told me to speak to a manager (only available 9-3), manager said they?d talk to head office then did absolutely nothing. Absolute waste of £40, as it turns out I could have walked to the nearest McDonalds and got hot food for half the price.

No one on reception when you arrive but they do come out, room is ok but on a hot evening the rooms are a sauna with only a small fan to keep you cold, which doesn't work, which results in a long and miserable night of sleep. AC is a must for any place. Breakfast was very average with limited selection. Best thing is that it's near a motorway so you can get to where you need to be.

Iv stayed at many Travelodge locations and this is bar far the worst. First I booked for two adults and was given one double bed. I asked to be put in a room with separate beds but they said recently management said you have to pay to be `upgraded` to a room with separate beds. Iv never had this issue in different Travelodge hotels and always have had separate beds. On top of this you need to pay for parking and it's only free for disabled holders. When I was 'upgraded' to a family room there was gum stuck to my bedside table, no soap in the bathrooms, the bath tub was very short and there was crisp packets under the bed. This definitely felt like the hotel was just there to make money other than prove comfort again first time this ever happened to me in a Travelodge hotel. The first room was mega tiny as well and I felt super clustrophobic. So if anyone's going as two adults be aware you are in a tiny room with a small double bed.

This was a good value last minute booking with breakfast that fit the bill. I stayed with my two sons in a family room. It was well proportioned with a double and two singles. The room was lovely and quiet on the car park side, is adequately clean for the price, has ample tea and coffee but misses some basic things like hand wash and air conditioning.
The Bar staff at breakfast are the jewel of the hotel. They were helpful and polite and served us with a positive welcome. The breakfast is worthwhile, and has a wide selection that is regularly topped up, there was no dried up bacon rashers!

Convenient location for the M1 and parts of the Luton and Dunstable Hospital (T Zone is literally connected to the back of the hotel).
The reception of the hotel is on the 1st floor, but the lift wasn't working, nor was the lift to the hospital entrance, so if you have mobility issues, you will struggle. That being said, the receptionist did offer for us to use the staff lift if we needed it.
Rooms are unbearably hot which means you have to have the windows open and get woken up throughout the night by people thinking the road outside is a racetrack.
The bed was uncomfortable and small which added to a terrible night's sleep.
In the bathroom there was no handsoap and the room had a strong smell of urine. The cheap lino floor was sticky, making me think it hadn't been cleaned.
The restaurant is nicely decorated but also extremely hot. The staff member couldn't undertaking our food order and keep getting it wrong. Even after repeating the order to us, he still overcharged us, so i had to go back to the bar to point it out. He refunded the difference and apologised. After waiting an hour for the food to arrive, it was still wrong but by this point we were too hungry to challenge it again. Towards the end of the meal, the same man came to our table and asked why we were eating the chips that he'd already refunded, and took them away!
The food itself was plain and tasteless. I had the bbq chicken pizza but had to remove the chicken as it tasted odd.
Breakfast was better and the young lady working was very lovely and friendly. The food again was ok at best, typical cheap buffet really.
I wouldn't stay here again, despite the convenience of the location. Next time I will find a Premier Inn which are miles better than a Travelodge.
