Went to purchase some fish, the staff member asked a series of questions to assess if I am competent in caring for the fish. After answering his questions and assuring him I have owned fish for many years and do regular water testshe refused to let me purchase any fish until I went back home and returned with a sample of water from the tank for them to test.I understand the staff have a duty of care but this level was unnecessary.I purchased fish from an alternative store in the end where the staff were far more helpful and less obstructive.

I was in the car park of this elusive establishment and to my horror I noticed the most highly disturbing slight of hand of one man with his newly acquired guinea pig to cut a long story short the man violently fingered the poor rodent to the disgression of the on looking audience that he had acquired. If you see this man please report him to the local authorities and the RSPCA. I have attached a photo for reference...

Very upset with the level of support and advice given by this store. Poor customer service, complete dismissal even when involving an animals purchases from there store regarding well-being and health. No support, lack of knowledge and will tell you what isn?t true. Had to ring other stores who were far more empathetic with the situation and the risk to the other animals health. Will be taking this further.

Went to pick up some food for my mums cats and fish they didn't have the exact food she likes for the cats but they had a huge range so she was able to get a substitute

Nearly everytime I've come here, they've always been out of wet kitten food. Alternatively I've had or order online. Even the order that was delivered to store did not come so had to contact customer services via webchat and visit a few times before receiving.

Served today by the wonderfully caring Claire Quote ref: 7810?.552. Whilst serving several people, she gave advice to someone 3rd in the queue (multitasking) about an inadequate carrier they were planning to buy for a rabbit. Claire was very friendly but she clearly was being firm about the owners responsibilities. The customer appeared to listen as they walked off to follow Claire?s advice & the next thing you see is them leaving the store having dumped all their shopping in an aisle. This was appalling behaviour by the customer who clearly didn?t like to be told what to do!! BUT this makes me love PAH even more as they clearly care about all animals & their welfare ahead of ££ and will keep me a loyal customer. I always love my visits to the store even if it?s to see doggies around the shop!!

4****This pets at home always has helpful and friendly staff and well organised. Only reason for one missing star is that they don?t seem to have what you need. There is always something they don?t have.

Struggled to find a vet that takes new cats. Our Kitten was getting older and we felt guilty for not having his vaccines done. Pets at Home were welcoming and happy to book our kitten in for his jabs and to discuss a date to neuter the boy. Receptionist was helpful polite and provided clear pricing information when asked. They also have a subscription service for cats and dogs which is convenient for worming and flea prevention sold as cover for the year, members also get discounts on some common vetcare.

Aleyas happy with the staff knowledge. Couldn't appreciate more however the quality of live feed can be quite poor at this branch for some reason. Other than this usually a nice in and out quick service.
