Very rude staff, considering I only asked a simple query. They were laughing about the interaction whilst I was still in the store, very unprofessional and know nothing about simple customer service.

Generally a good service was given, I usually use the Dunstable branch who I would score as excellent, but maybe a few little tweaks would make the difference, but all in all as the saying goes ? it does exactly what it says on the tin?!

Booking an appointment was quick and easy. Followed up with a quick phone call to check some information I'd put during the booking.
Arrived and was seen to quickly. The staff were really friendly and the optician was knowledgeable and had great communication. Price was also reasonable.
I would recommend on that basis

Told me my glasses would be ready on a set date. I had to call to check. Went down and they couldn?t find them. The person fitting my glasses didn?t give me any instructions just stared at me. I asked him if I should put them on he said yes. I put them on and he asked if they fit, I said I?m not sure he then checked. Fitted them with the machine and handed them back while standing behind me. I asked if I should put them on he said no and then bye. Not helpful at all, very unclear. When I had my eye test the optician was not clear and expected me to know what was happening. She also forgot the name of her colleague and was very rude to her. From doing the feedback questionnaire I can see he didn?t provide me with the correct service nothing to read and no glasses tray.

After a very quick eye test I was diagnosed with an eye disease. No explanation of how to treat it was given, despite NHS advice recommending referral and treatment.
I sought a 2nd opinion from a different opticians, who could find no trace of the eye disease after a thorough and detailed series of tests. This 2nd opinion also resulted in an entirely different prescription.
After raising a complaint with Specsavers they were very quick to respond and were very helpful, sorting new glasses to the 2nd prescription very rapidly at no extra cost to me.
However, this does not make up for the misdiagnosis and the fear and worry this filled me with until the 2nd opinion.

First used this franchise about 3 years ago. One of the worst eye tests I?ve ever had. They got it mostly wrong after carting me between waiting rooms and making me wait for ages. Went a second time to get the incorrect test fixed and was a lot better with a locum optician, but have just tried to avoid since. Got to a point last week I needed an eye test as well as a contact lens check. Keep in mind, this franchise has been supplying my lenses for over 3 years. Booked appointment, pointed out I needed a lens check as well, all done. Right? Wrong. Got a call to verify appointment and be informed that a trainee would be doing my eye test. Er. Ok. Does not bode well considering last experience. Fine, supervised. Was then told they could not do a lens check though as that needed a different appointment on the computer. So, I have to go twice for a test that is 90% the same? Then went on to ask if I got lenses from them. Yes, you supply them. Every month. At that point I was out. Can?t deal with this level of incompetence. Asked to cancel the appointment because if they don?t even know they supply my lenses how can they possible test my eyes. The reaction. ?Oh, wow?. They then put the phone down. Still bombarded me with texts and emails for the next three days though to remind me of my appointment. Ended up having to cancel it myself. Your eye health is in their hands. Treat it accordingly.
As a response to the opticians who are asking for a "DM". You have my number. Call me. Or have you lost that now as well?

Placed order one week later collected and my order was wrong, i requested reactor light's, when i pointed this out, staff were not helpful and asked me if I was sure about reactor light!!!!! had to wait another two weeks, would never go back

They got me wrong frames and colour when collecting a pair of new glasses with occupation lenses, no reason was given nor apology. The frames were too painful on my ears I could not wear for more than 10 mins. I had to return the product.

Had a very bad experience the staff made me feel uncomfortable and confused the young staff need customer service training. I didn't get any help and left with no glasses.
