You can tell a good layby cafe by the amount of trucks stopped outside. Egg, sausage and bacon stick will keep you going all day. Good portion size, proper sized cups of tea. Good banter & a range of sauces to spice things up. Better than a McDonald's breakfast and you won't be hungry by midday.

For a road side van. Dave is always chatty and welcoming. Food is cooked fresh on your order and reasonably priced.
Parking: Layby on the old A421 just past the Stewart by turn before the Wootton roundabout

Thank you very much.Woke up this morning and Dave?s was open, ordered the sausage, bacon and egg roll. I was not disappointed the bacon was thick and cooked beautifully, the jumbo sausage tasted great, and the egg to me was fantastic ran down my chin. Has to be a full mark for this little place. Hope you can find a space cause he is good but only a little lay-by
