Not impressed at all rubbish service and food was over cooked and dry.
My partner had to go to the bar and wait ages to be served as they kept getting my drink wrong asked for a gin but got a double gin with these random squishy brown berry thing I just wanted a plain gin so we asked for that to be changed then got just water so that's when he went to the bar to get me a drink I asked for in the first place with nothing added to it.
1st and last visit .
Waiste of money.

Lovely meal as usual, nice generous helpings. Was bit disappointed with the portion size of the Lemon Roulade that my wife had, for £7.85, I would have expected some ice cream, or cream to accompany the Roulade.

When I eat here a couple of years ago it was really good. This visit was nothing to write home about. Staff were welcoming & attentive. Food was OK & reasonably priced. However, the portion of chips were 10 short of an adult's serving. As a bonus we given an annoying wobbly table which they must have known about as it had beer mats under the legs. Guess that's what you get for booking.
(Tip: The joints need gluing.)

Nice pub. Food looked good. Beer was good but a bit expensive. Great quiz takes place each month, raising funds for different charities.

It's a lovely old building and a great spot for a pint. I had the fish and chips and I wasn't amazed. For just over £16, the portion was very good, but the fish was bland. The chips were obviously frozen and not any better than you would make at home. The salad that came with the meal was pretty decent though and nice that it was included. My companion had the sausages and mash and enjoyed it so this is not a spot to avoid but I wouldn't have the fish again.

Had another lovely meal here it's now on our favourites list if we want to be lazy and eat out.
Good food, happy attentive staff and a nice atmosphere.
Would recommend booking at busy times as clearly it's a favourite of many and can get busy.

This is what a pub should be! Super service, staff are very attentive. We were shown to our table very quickly and drinks order taken. Then food almost straight away. We had the ploughman?s and it was fabulous. It came out in less than 8 minutes!!!! The service is exemplary and friendly. It?s our second visit and was better than the first time as it was busier but the service was still super. Thank you so much, keep up the fabulous work you all do!

Great Sunday roast and apple & blackberry crumble, just what I was craving. Though the beef was quite dry. Busy but quick service. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Nice ambience.
