Lower Stondon Surgery has truly established itself as a beacon of healthcare excellence locally where other GP services are under public scrutiny regularly. Each member of the practice has been professional and helpful, but I especially would like to pay compliment to Dr. Patel.Dr. Patel's proficiency in treating my sons infant skin conditions is particularly noteworthy. With a gentle touch and insightful approach, she brings relief to both infants and their worried parents, earning the admiration and gratitude of myself and my husband. The recent introduction of an online triage system has revolutionised patient care, especially for busy working mothers like myself. By eliminating the need for early morning rushes in a telephone queue, this innovative system allows for more convenient access to medical assistance, demonstrating the practice's commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its patients and practical use of the service to those who need it.In summary, Lower Stondon Surgery is everything I need it to be as a doctors surgery, and for that I am grateful given the current NHS being in demise.

I wouldn?t even give them 1* terrible service. They don?t ever seem to take into consideration children. Every single appointment I have booked for my children they never get seen, I have to wait days for an appointment which has resulted in me travelling to a walk in which is out of the area. Would definitely not recommend this surgery.

I can never ever reach or get an appointment for my child. I filled form twice and called 5 times since morning. My 17 months old baby has high temp. Probably fighting an infection. I cannot reach them. I get nothing.I tried to book vaccination months ago for another occasion they refused my child.

I requested to see a doctor beacuse my child had a high temperature, head ache, ear ache that was worsening over the last 48hrs. I saw a pharmacist who advised me to see my GP for my child. The doctors did not even have the courtesy to ring me and instead sent me a link to NHS cold and flusymptoms. This surgery is not patient facing and are quick to pass the buck to other NHS services rather than deal with the patients they should be.

Phoned the surgery to get an appointment as I have had a cough for over a month. Spoke with the receptionist to get an appointment, told I have to use to online triage, I explained that I have no idea how it works, and do not know how to use it, I was told sorry that's how we do it, again I explained I don't know how to use it and was told bluntly unfortunately there is nothing we can do for you. Wow!

I've recently moved from London and can say that Lower Stondon Surgery is by far the worst surgery I have encountered. The low score says it all. The poor service here goes beyond NHS wait times."

Genuinely surprised this surgery is allowed to operate. My toddler was very poorly with a high temp. Was offered an apt a whole week later for him despite my online triage explaining his high temp and all his symptoms. Went to a&e instead where he was treated for multiple respiratory infections & prescribed anti biotics. A&e doctor was horrified and actually apologised on behalf of this surgery that they expected my son to wait a whole week had I not used my own initiative. I wish this was one isolated incident I?ve experienced but this was the most recent.

They do not listen to you when you ask for help, they don't answer the phone, if they do they tell you to do it on line My husband could not get through so drove down there and the horrible reception raised her voice and told him to go away and phone, even though the surgery was empty. He ended up being rushed to hospital in with septasemia

Awful doctors . Can never get an appointment . Wait hours to be seen in an emergency walk in clinic . Notes ignored by surgery for referal instead try to make appointments 2 weeks later to clarify what other gp said in emergency app.. mysel and my family are leaving from today .

Having used the surgery for years I once would have rated it 5* but sadly times have changed. Not a very diverse or forward thinking practice now, as people are forced to use an online Triage system. When questioned how my visually impaired daughter could access this, as I was refused an appointment booked via telephone, the receptionist replied, "Oh she can ask someone else do to that online for her". That's all well and good but her symptoms might be very personal and she might not want to tell someone else what they are, when completing the form on her behalf! When I questioned the receptionist and pointed this out she stated they only help elderly people book appointments over the phone. Very disappointed by the attitude of the surgery and its staff now. People with disabilities need to have independence to book themselves and sometimes that means the receptionist actually assisting them with booking appointments by phone! Also, carers will be turned away with flu and covid vaccinations and told to visit the chemist instead. Apparently you need to be the right kind of carer, I was during lockdown but not now! Again, when asked what category of carer you need to be, to access the flu vaccine at the surgery, the receptionist didn't appear to know. Very sad times. This surgery is only surviving because there isn't another one for miles and the locals are forced to stay where is reachable without transport...providing you can actually get an appointment!

Struggled initially to get an appointment for my daughter though they agreed to see her at the end of the clinic day which we were really grateful for. The reception staff were lovely, friendly and understanding and the doctor took the time to examine her throughly even though it was end of day and after the clinics had finished. I understand the huge pressures gp surgeries and though sometimes a struggle with appointments lower Stondon have always managed to advice and support us when really when needed.

Words are going to fail me at this point,You will be left feeling upset, useless, uncared for, angry and frustrated,You will question why you pay NI monthly you will question why the surgery acts and reacts the way they do, at times is feel inhumane.Let me give a few examples:I?ve been lied to about my sons 1 year old jabs (someone is lying) I was told they are not being prioritised as they flu jabs are the priority at the moment and he?s on the waiting list, after 5 weeks so now way after the letters came through I?m told a different nurse does the flu jabs and the routine 1 year jabs will not be impacted by the flu jabs and I was asked if my son is even on the waiting list for his 1 year jabs my son is now 1 year and 2 months old I have been told to wait no sign of when just they are still after 1 month waiting for a cancellation to give him this standard level of basic expected human care. The advice by NHS England is if you can take the 1 year jabs as close to the birthday as possible to increase vaccine success and reduce adverse reactions which increase as % every week after a month of first birthday. My other half had a e-c sec the doctor wrote on the letter from hospital check iron, I was told by lower Stondon they didn?t check iron as it wasn?t requested I asked to see the doctors letter and it clearly stated check my others half iron levels as she?d lost a lot of blood?surgery didnt really have a leg to stand on after this appalling mistake and denial, practice manager could only apologise and say ?steps are being taken?Phoned up and given incorrect advice over blood tests where I?d been told to go to lister hospital. I requested a copy of my blood request and was refused it even though the hospital had told me to bring it, this meant hospital refused to see me and said we told you to bring it and I said to the hospital my surgery refused to issue. They lost my other half?s referral letter for an unknown issue currently in the system she requested again on the 21st September had been promised it would be signed 4 times she chased this today is the 12th October and of course after being charged for the referral letter (never seen this in any other surgery) she turns up to collect after being advised it?s ready only to be told the letter isn?t signed and the doctor is on a home visit ?.a referral letter to get an unknown issue raised for investigation takes nearly a month and even then to this exact time it?s still not ready? The attitude of the receptionists you have to have the control of a god, you are told to treat surgery staff with respect which I do but on calls I have been on I?ve been over talked, told to not repeat myself, to calm down from worrying (not because I?m angry) and to get off the phone as I?m delaying other patients being spoken to, from someone who suffers with mental health you feel like you?re trying to get help from death row not speak to your local friendly gp service. My first son had his first ever jabs and we were given no advice no leaflets no documentations, friends of ours who use Shefford surgery were told what to look out for, given information and advice, leaflets, lower Stondon didn?t even wipe the skin before jabbing couldn?t wait to get us out the door with no info. This was again apologised for by the practice manager Catherine.I have many more examples within just 2 years of being here!!I hope service can improve but until then I?m not willing to risk my families care anymore I?ve contacted NHS England, the CCG for beds, our MP for central beds and the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman to report this surgery and I suggest all those feeling the same way to do the same.I am sick of this service effecting my families mental health with level of care, I am sick of the chasing and hours spent repeating ourselves due to lost information or incorrect information

Waited 3 days for an appointment which turned out to be a telephone appointment. The doctor didn?t even call and then put that the appointment was complete online, even though I hadn?t spoken to him. Rang reception and they said they would get the doctor to call me by the end of the day, which didn?t happen. Still nothing.
