Currently on a 2 night break for hubbys 60th birthday. Beautiful surroundings, had a lovely walk. Room nice size, clean, comfy bed. Food very nice, coffee shop good. Toby made excellent coffee and was so friendly ?.All staff we've met are friendly and welcoming. I think it was Tegan who checked us in, couldn't have been more professional and friendly. Tamas in the shop was a delight and helpful. Debbie on desk by the pool again a delight and helpful. Must mention restaurant staff, especially the younger ones who were efficient and helpful, I only got one name Carys. The older man Mo was rather surly on each occasion we saw him sadly. Very relaxing stay. ?

I like a nice get-away and Champneys used to be great for that. However every time I have tried to call to confirm bookings due to not getting an email confirmation, I have had to wait over 20 minutes on the phone. Not ideal.

Company basically steals the money. I purchased a voucher for a spa day but cant be redeem my voucher as they claim they allow a limted amount of guests with the voucher. I cant make a reservation even though they still have plenty of spaces for new reseravtions and welocoming new guests. This is ridiculous. Avoid !!!

Enjoy the experience when able to get there however absolute nightmare trying to get through to book with a return voucher- have sent multiple emails and weeks have gone by with no reply. Have called multiple times and on an over 60 minute wait time and no one has yet picked up! Not possible to book with the return voucher online! Very disappointing and terrible customer service by this company.

I love this place and have been visiting for over 40 years, the staff are so friendly and the treatments are top class. Abi was brilliant and so attentive. The invoicing system and booking system is a complete nightmare. You can?t get through to anyone and to try and add something on or change a booking is such hard work. It seems like there?s some sort of technical problem that nothing matches up, which is surprising for such a big company, you?d think they?d have top class IT.It?s ok when you get there but the app, email and social media, forget it.

We've visited Champneys Henlow before and found it to be a really good experience however this time around we were disappointed by our stay.My partner brought us a Twilight 1 night stay for my birthday. We had our treatment half an hour after we arrived (we were not informed of the time until we arrived. Previously we booked this in on arrival so were quite surprised and had to rush to prepare). Afterwards we decided to go into the jacuzzi/whirl pool however both were really cold and we didn't last long because of this.We then went on to have dinner in the restaurant. My partner asked for a beer and was told that there was no stock of any (??) beers at all. We then ordered food but were told that the main he chose (duck) was not available so had to choose something else. We were also told that the dessert he tried to order (cheesecake) was also not available. So his drink, main and dessert were all unavailable and he was made to choose alternatives. I would understand if it was one dish/drink but to be told all of these items were unavailable is unacceptable.Overall I would say that the stay was unfortunately a real let down and I don't think we would opt to stay here again given this experience

Fantastic stay. Very efficient check in. Amazing customer service.Rooms: Slightly smaller than Tring Champneys, but good quality. Would benefit from having a fridge.

We did a spa day, ten of us... Very nice. We are regulars now, just booked our third! Nice spa area, brilliant classes and delicious lunch. A wonderful day! It's pricey....I think they could do better offers,. especially for regulars...and we use the return vouchers but I still feel I could be better rewarded as a regular customer who has brought so many friends! ;) I also think it's a shame and slightly unfair to charge per class-its not much but it adds up and takes away some of the charm when you've spent so much for the day "with classes included". Also I think tea and coffee could be available all day, and certainly for free, especially after lunch. It's a pain having to go to the lounge and wait for them to make it one by one (it takes forever, and you waste precious spa and relaxation time!) - and again an extra you shouldn't have to pay for when you've spent so much on the day. I have stayed a few times before overnight and the rooms are nice. The food portions seem to be getting bigger as they have been quite mean in the past. I wouldn't describe it as luxury but it's clean and nice and the pool is a highlight as it's so big, the water is warm and the spa area is fantastic and relaxing.

Lovely spa in a pretty setting! all facilities working, lovely staff, arrived to a tasty breakfast! Lunch was fab with a good choice of food! Only negative was it was very busy so beds/chairs were limited! Still a nice relaxing spa

Went here for a spa day after a horrible stressful day. I made it clear I haven?t been before, unfortunately staff at the fitness reception were terrible. They just stared at me and expected me to know where to go, I asked for directions twice, which were provided but weren?t clear at all. Champneys is very big so it?s easy to get lost. This was very overwhelming for me. I asked Tegan for help (this was now my 3rd time asking for help) and she was the only one that assisted me extremely well!I did not stay for the dinner I paid for, as the service really put me off. This is not the kind of service you should be providing. I don?t want to return nor would I recommend it, the facilities were good, the staff made it a horrible experience. Seems they were busier flirting amongst each other. The staff greeted one another great, it?s a shame they don?t greet us like that!
