Just to say: we visit the White Horse most weeks?. We had friends from afar and took them to the pub?. Fantastic atmosphere as always? we ate there too which I must say was a lovely meal, all cooked fresh, although the kitchen staff were under pressure as it was so busy, John the chef was kind enough to add our order to his very long list for food . I would 100% recommend visiting for drinks, food, and extremely kind and attentive staff & management. ( I find it very difficult to understand as to why anybody would leave a bad review!!) ?.. Definitely give 5 stars?.?

Arrived as a walk-in on a very quiet evening, and was told that service would start at 5 for food. We ordered drinks and the fruit trays were in need of a change, as the fruit was gone off and manky and hadn?t been swapped for fresh fruit. Very kindly, the bartender bought me over the fruit. We waited about 30 minutes to have an order taken from us, and we ordered the charcuterie board, fish & chips, and the chicken Milanese. The charcuterie board was lovely, the olives weren?t fresh however so they were very mushy and not enjoyable, the rest was delightful. When it came to eating starters, we could smell a really strong fish odour that took out the whole bar. The presentation of the mains was lovely, the Milanese looked gorgeous. The fish batter was a really odd, pastel-yellow colour and the veg was not fresh whatsoever, the cucumber was actually chewy. The chicken was so dry and was almost inedible, while the tomato sauce had no taste at all. The staff made such an effort to accommodate us despite the fact that there was an over-run meeting on, so we didn?t want to cause any other hassle and just paid & left. We both think the restaurant is beautiful, and has lots of potential. It?s a shame about the experience, however it?s clear from other reviews that others do enjoy here. Another note is that you should be more discrete about how you?re supplying your meat, as going to the car park & watching staff take meat out of the boot of an unrefrigerated car is not ideal, gave us quite the stomach ache in fact.

I was working in Eaton bray for couple of day and I thought of checking somewhere to go for a drink, went on Google and found the horse ? pub day 1i ordered fish and chips and I was served by jude she's friendly and welcoming. One thing I didn't like with the fish and chips is the puried green peas not my thing at all I think customers should have option to choose I didn't like peas mashed also i prefer flat fish instead of cube shape it was too suggy (waterly) because it's cooked from freezer, drink was nice and chill berries and cherries cider.
Day 2 I went there on a Sunday and I couldn't get in try to ring the doorbell no one came to my rescue I was there for more than 10 min couldn't get in ,then I saw ladies coming out they struggled to open from inside too the door is broken need fixing ? ? sad.i wasn't bothered I went home that's really bad .I Don't blame people looking at me though the window because is not there business to someone and help.i will revisit again and leave a review thanks.

Since I?ve moved to the area I?ve been enjoying a pint of aspalls at the Whitehorse, but now the chef has turned up. It?s an absolute game changer. The food is amazing. Took six of my friends down there last week. Everyone complimented on how good the food is,so I will be spending a lot more time down there. ?

A lovely welcome from Tom and the new chef Alex. A wide range of drinks to choose from and a good range of menu choices. Food was amazing, some of the best I've had. Not the cheapest but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for so have no complaints there. Highly recommend for friendliness, great service and outstanding food. Will definitely be back.
Vegetarian options: The KFC (Korean Fried Cauliflower) was incredible!

Visited dunstable and on the way back found this pub as kids was very hungry. Greeted by old grumpy moody man at the bar, telling us they dont have spafe although there was lots of space. What a joke.

This pub refused to serve a coffee despite its sign saying quality coffee served here. What a sad and unfriendly thing to do.

Came in for the Saturday ?Thai Kitchen? evening for the 2nd time and wanted to leave a review of the great food and service received. Very friendly welcome into the pub, drinks order taken and shown to our table. Food order taken (set menu but were happy to make tweaks at our request). Every single dish on the menu tonight was delicious and all tasted beautifully fresh and authentic. We were given plenty of time between courses (at our request) no rushed feeling that they want you in and out that you sometimes get at restaurants. This is a great little ?pop-up? type dining experience and great to be able to get it on your doorstep. We hope you get the support required to continue this.

Found black mould on my food. I will be reporting this to the heath inspector. Landlord is an abhorrent man.

A pleasant village pub with a good range of basic food. Had Sunday roast which was cooked well with crispy but not undercooked veg. They were happy to provide a smaller portion for a smaller appetite too.
