I usually don?t leave bad reviews, but I was very disappointed with the customer service at this store this evening. Some staff members ignore customers completely or interrupt without any apology.
The main issue was with a Coinstar voucher. The voucher itself clearly says it can be redeemed at checkout, but that is no longer true. There was only a handwritten note on the machine saying it had to be redeemed the same day. Since I didn?t know about this( that you cannotredemit at checkoutno more), I asked a staff member at self-checkout if there is anyone at the till that I could use the voucher because no one was there( I know you cannot use it at self-checkout). Instead of explaining politely, she just pointed me away rudely and said I had to redeem it first, with no apology or effort to clarify why.
I then waited in a line of only three people including myself about 10 minutes. When my turn finally came, another staff member walked up, talking on the phone about a lost wallet (trying to find it for a customer, which is very nice), and completely ignored me, no excuse, no apology. The cashier did the same, acting as if I wasn?t there.
Thankfully, another colleague returned from her break, she was very kind and helpful. She was the only staff member from this evening who treated me with a smile, an apology, and help.
By the time I was finally able to redeem the voucher, my husband had already given up and paid by card because he was tired of waiting, which completely defeated the point of using the voucher.
I understand customer service can be stressful, but basic courtesy and clear communication make a big difference. A simple apology, proper signage, or clear guidance would have made this experience much better.

Visited at 2pm on Sunday, only two manned tills open, big queue's on both basket and trolley self service checkouts and only one person manning both self service checkouts. No visible management around and told they were short staffed, same as every other time we go in there.

I would have given more stars but I am at my end. The security follow me around even though I have been shopping there since it was built. I have had enough. The shop is clean and the actual staff are nice. However the security needs to have some serious training if they think a customer that has been shopping there this long will thief from them. If it persists I will have to make a formal complaint against the security team. At this point it is pure discrimination and nothing else.

Now security have made fictitious lies about me claiming I have been banned from the store for running out with bottles of vodka. They have prove of this but can't show me this prof.

I?ve ordered from Sainsbury?s through Uber Eats many times and I?m really disappointed with how deliveries are handled. Orders are often delayed by over an hour and sometimes they?re not even scanned or prepared properly. I?ve had to cancel multiple times because of this, which left me having to order takeaways instead.
When I phoned the store staff directly, they said they couldn?t do anything about it and didn?t even check with their Uber Eats team. Instead, I was told to call Uber Eats, who then told me to contact Sainsbury?s again. It doesn?t make sense, and it shows a complete lack of responsibility from Sainsbury?s side.
