Although the personnel at my local Halfords were stars they couldn't compensate for the poor organisation they work for! The website is misleading. Bike brakes are not £10. I paid £31 for them to fit 2 brakes. Silver Bike service takes 90 minutes but what they don't say is that you have to leave the bike with them for up to 10 days. Also they are working on a skeleton staff so customer service is obviously compromised. But full marks for the two members of staff who were working their socks off on Tuesday!!

Had my confirmation Email so went to the store to collect but Staff could not find My Tom Tom in the cabinet behind tills so he called for assistance, no one came. after about 10 mins 2/3 staff came into store (at least one had been working on a vehicle outside) One Lady brought in Drinks and snacks that they proceeded to eat and drink whilst serving customers at the till. eventually one member of staff went to the back of the store to find my Tom Tom. In the meanwhile I spoke to a gentleman to ask if he was a manager, he said it depended what I needed, so I said how sending staff to help at the tills as by this time there were 3 other customers waiting for various types of help.Anyway they found My order and booked it out. I had to ask/confirm if it was ok to go with it. the answer was yes I am very pleased to say . It took about 20 mins in all.Earlier in the week with different staff and a different order, at that time only took about 10 mins ,apparently it had not been picked but was soon brought over from the shop floor.NOT very Professional.Totally unlike your St Albans Store in Griffiths Way St Albans who are Friendly and helpful and so Professional and caring.

Done click and collected went in after two hours to find them standing around they hadn?t even looked at picking my order. I ended up picking it myself and getting them to do the order.

Maybe I'm old and prices to do basic stuff most kids in my generation could do in minutes. I know cost of living is gone up but most things have shot up in price. If not mechanically minded it's good place to go but other bike shops cheaper.

Needed to change front light bulb so book in for a service, only took 40 mins of waiting time, as staff was busy with each other, to discover that they can not change my light bulb! Socking, avoid if you can!
