Highly recommend The Mill Coffee Shop to everyone. Stunning location with easy access to walks near around the river area. The place itself is lovely inside, loads of plants and paintings around. Has a cool old barn feel but very clean and decorated nicely.
The food and drinks have always been lovely and reasonably priced. It is always busy but you still get your food in great time. They will let you know if it's particularly crazy in the kitchen but you would be more than happy just hanging out there. There is a river room at the back that overlooks the river with an old river wheel which is super cool.
The staff are always absolutely lovely and chatty even when you can see they are rushed off their feet but they never seem flustered and take the time to provide excellent customer care.
I've been so many times now they know my usual order.
Definitely give this place a visit and recommend to your friends.
Dog and child friendly and they also do some events over the summer.
Anyway enjoy your visit :) you won't regret it :)

A great find, purely by chance on our way to Bedford. Great coffee, amazing cake. A beautiful setting. We didn't have lunch but the food we saw being served looked very good. We will definitely go back.

Coffee and cake on this visit to the Mill, but they do a nice food menu, it was a nice Sunday afternoon so sat outside plenty of seating, you order inside with table service this was quick and managed by friendly staff, will go back for lunch one day as the food did look good.

Visited today for brunch and had a lovely experience overall. The café has a great atmosphere, the staff were super friendly, and the service was quick! ? I ordered the Kinder & Nutella pancakes, but unfortunately they weren?t to my taste?they came across a bit cheap-tasting. That said, I think I just picked the wrong item, and I?d definitely come back to try something else on the menu!

I come here regularly, and there's a very good reason (several really)
The atmosphere is awesome, the team are always welcoming and super helpful, with huge smiles on their faces!
The coffee is quite honestly the best coffee around! From the cappuccinos to the iced latte's they are all blooming delicious!
The reason for our visit today? Well when they post on Instagram they have fresh tiramisu croissants, me and the wife practically jumped over eachother to get to the car and get down here!
Whilst we were scoffing our tiramisu croissants, we also ordered the Pesto & Sun-Dried tomato Ciabatta, and the New York Deli Ciabatta. THE BIGGEST CHEFS KISS! Again absolutely blooming lovely!
We have been a numerous times and everything we have an amazing experience! It's an absolute gem of place!
Get down here and try it for yourselves! You won't be disappointed.
P.s the cinnamon buns are also amazing ?

Lovely place with lots of outdoor seating so perfect for a day with good weather. The full breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be going back!
