Great Denham Village PharmacyI don't know if I am the only one but I went into the pharmacy to ask for a prescription. Whilst I knew the medication would not be available, I was hoping that they could take the prescription, order the medication, and let me know when it was in. I am more than willing to wait for it.The young lady at the counter was super friendly /professional and helpful. As for the dispensing staff when handed the prescription their response was to go somewhere else as we didn't have it.Now I may be expecting a bit much here but as a community service provider I would have expected something along these lines,Sorry, we don't stock this medication but we could order it and it would take so long,orSorry, I have checked and we don't have it in stock but recommend you try X, Y Z, as they may carry it.However, the rude arrogance and unhelpfulness was a real shock. The poor young lady at the till looked shocked as well at the crass and curt responseI would gladly talk to anyone from the pharmacy and clear the matter but I must say this has left a bitter taste in my mouth and just highlights the lack of customer focus especially in a situation where people are reliant on sympathetic courteous, friendly service.I do expect better from a service provider.

I have been using The Village Pharmacy for (coming up) 14 years, at first it was situated within the surgery & although small they still catered to the needs of locals. There were no shops, nothing. The school wasn't even built & still they needed a sign stating "only 2 children at a time" (unless accompanied by am adult) because it was the only place kids could get their sweets & us parents to gran milk, bread or other little essentials for day to day living. Then theny expanded into a portable cabin, not much bigger than original setting but again they catered to all medical & basic staples. Then the Mieklejohn centre was born & finally The Village Pharmacy could focus on being a Pharmacy rather than being over run by kids. Did they ever complain? No! Even during times of frustration they remained professional & courteous knowing that it was a situation the public couldn't control. Now all I see & here is grown adults moaning & complaining about a carpark issue that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Pharmacy. They didn't implement the changes nor did they cause it. In fact I wouldn't be suprised if half the people throwing their toys out their pram are the same people that were abusing the use of the carpark that lead to the restrictions! It is & has always been for the use of patients attending the surgery & not for parents to use as a drop off/pick up zone. People need to stop hounding the Pharmacy about it, your grievance is with the carpark owners NOT the pharmacy! Oh and the owners are not rude or cold, quite the opposite. I'd give the business & the staff (past & present) 10 stars if I could.

My husband and I chose to have our flu and Covid booster jabs at The Village Pharmacy. We were greeted by a friendly staff member. We waited for one person to have their injections and then had ours. Convenient, quick, comfy seating to wait on - essential for a disabled person. Thanks!

Been using this place since it was a portacabin in the car and few houses in sight. Always found the service pretty good and marvelled at the the way they cope with the huge increase in demand on its services over the years. With the increased population in the area and covid the place is often busy. The car parking situation was brought about by the general public, selfishly using the car park for the school run, disregarding patients of the health centers needs. It seems a bit unfair that they get tied up with moans (when they could be getting on with the job) over a situation they can not control.

Booked online for flu and Covid vaccinations. My local pharmacy could only offer an appointment in 3 weeks whereas Great Denham (8 miles away) offered the following day at a time to suit me. The Village Pharmacy is "purpose built" with private consulting rooms (unlike my local quaint chemist). Friendly, quick and efficient. Back at my car 3 minutes after the appointment time (I arrived 5 minutes early). Will use again.

Spoke to an extremely rude individual regarding being charged for parking in an EMPTY carpark on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Was notified there is signage but they couldn't see my point, that I have parked there on multiple occasions in the past with no issues. Apparently it came in to effect in March with lots of signs. Either way, the courteous thing to do would be to mention it to customers, but I guess we now live in a world where everyone is out for themselves aren't the???

Covid jabs painless, dealt with lovely people with a sense of humour. Parking plentiful a short walk away with very clear signs at strategic points from car park to pharmacy - take your eyes of the satnav when you get near. Beautifully laid out and well stocked pharmacy.

Attended for a walk in Covid jab. Brilliant, fast, pain free service.Parked a short walk away in carpark by Sainsburys 150 meters to avoid parking charge in carpark next to the pharmacy, well worth it.

The pharmacist and staff provide an excellent service here. I think, reading the reviews, some people need to remember the staff here don't make the rules for parking or vaccination entitlement, so to blame them for any issues is misdirected and unfair. Both my wife and I found all staff to be very helpful and understanding. Please treat them with the respect and courtesy they deserve as part of the NHS service.

Extremely professional service, my wife and I went to the pharmacy for Covid boosters and annual flu jabs. The pharmacist was thorough, friendly and very efficient. A pleasant atmosphere in a clean modern pharmacy. (be sure to park in the Vet/Pharmacy car park, not the medical centre) This was a 5 Star Experience!

Absolutely terrible service. We had an email and text from the NHS to book our Covid and Flu vaccines. We booked online and selected this pharmacy as it has disabled parking. After booking online we turn up at our appointment time and there was approximately twenty to thirty people waiting. We were given a ticket and told to wait our turn. We have no problem waiting although due to my disability sitting is extremely painful. After waiting fifty minutes we were told by the lady doing the injections that we were not eligible!! She made three calls to other colleagues and still said we were not eligible. We explained we had been sent the email/text to book. She advised to call our GP and ask what code she should put in to her system. We tried to explain how difficult it is for me to get out of the house to the pharmacy and she didn't care and had the absolute cheek to ask us to apologise to the others waiting patients as we had held up the Covid vaccine clinic!! We have since called our GP and they have advised that we are definitely entitled to both the Covid and Flu vaccines. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere as they clearly don't care about their customers. The car park also only has one disabled bay as the main car park outside the pharmacy is for the GP surgery only and you get fined if you use the disability bays outside the pharmacy. The nearest disabled bay is about 50 meters away!! Our local pharmacy is now doing our vaccines.
