I bought six bottles of wine yesterday because there was a 25 percentage discount. However when I looked at my bill later the discount had not been applied. I have tried to contact the store today but have not been able to speak to anyone. There is not even a complaints option when you ring . This is not acceptable.

I find customer service lacking generally across many businesses and sectors, for example a Tesco I go into regularly, staff are quick to get their mobiles out and not look up, or smile. First time visiting this store. Today using the cafe Nigel excelled, making us feel valued as customers, gave great customer service, communication and was attentive. This bucks the trend of society really and where great customer service is rare.

Don't normally leave reviews, but wanted to commend Nick today for his outstanding service. In the vegetable section, Nick, despite being massively busy, went out of his way to source me some shallots. Very helpful and polite young bloke.

Terrible experience with the customer service desk on Friday 6th September 2024. Asked if we could go to the customer service desk to exchange some cloths for the shopping we had as we entered the self-service checkout area. The self-service assistance said we could. As we get to the customer service desk, the assistant at the desk (Alice), was with her back to us chatting to her colleague. We had no problem with this, until we started to believe she was making us wait on purpose. Eventually she turns around and doesn?t greet us. We ask if it is okay to exchange the cloths for our groceries. The response we get is blunt, ?no you can?t exchange cloths for food?. We?re a little bemused by her tone and ask if it?s okay to just get a refund for the cloths and pay for our shopping separately. The customer service assistant agrees, maintaining her rude tone with us. She doesn?t showcase any customer service skills whatsoever during this process. Making us repeat the transaction and telling us that she will tell us when to put our card into the machine after making us wait. It was such odd and off behaviour. She finally completes the refund and walks away without letting us pay for our groceries. We ask if it?s still okay to pay for them and she wanders back over. We finally paid after another awkward exchange and we?re ready to leave the store. Then Alice has the cheek to ask us to move the shopping basket off of the desk. We moved it to the side for her in total shock. The service was a total shambles, Tesco should be ashamed to allow that behaviour towards their customers. We shop at this Tesco multiple times a week. It was uncalled for, unprovoked, and simply unprofessional. It left us wondering why Alice acted that way towards us unprovoked. She strikes me as a bully. So I don?t think I need to explain how the exchange with us could have been different and more positive. I will be coming back to speak with the store manager about this.

We were served by Rebecca and Nigel (the chef was lovely too!) and the customer service was great! There was a difficult customer infront of us and they handled it brilliantly. The food was a 10/10 as always, defo recommend!
