This shop is nicely laid out and has plenty of stock. The staff are very polite and helpful, I've bought a few things for my kitchen and a few CDs/DVDs to add to my collection. Though I've not been upstairs to the Retro department, I will one day!\\nI can highly recommend this shop even if you're donating items. Plus they also have a lottery which will go to good needs.\\n\\nI like going in this shop as I can always guarantee to get some great items. I often look at the pictures and books to get ideas for my art projects. I bought a nice little art book this time and there is some great ideas in it to expand my art and crafts knowledge. And there is a very good James Bond display in the shop window. (05/10/21)

Very interesting thrift store/charity shop. Very well organised and has a nice vintage section, but a little overpriced. The same pair of vintage Levi's 501s was the half the price in another shop, but worth a try.

My friend volunteers here and i've noticed such a positive change, i'd completely ignore the bad review. It's such a lovely shop with cute things upstairs. Without sounding harsh i'm surprised there's a shop this nice in Bedford!

BEWARE OF SUE RYDER STAFF BEDFORD TOWN CENTRE.
Absolutely will not be back again which ultimately means the charity shop loses money. This in itself goes again the entire ethos the Charitys Commission promotes. Not to mention the financial services ombudsmen ethos of ' treat the customer fairly'!.
The shopping experience has left emotionally scarred, Considering the women who inflicted the offences herself was physically disabled, you would especially expect her to understand fully that discrimination on any level is unacceptable. Unfortunately this was not the case.
How dear she follow myself and daughter around the store, based on our appearance alone, as we done nothing out of the ordinary then browse like every other customers, who were not followed. This is unacceptable. Since I affiliate with an areas which upholds the law, I object to be treated as a criminal.
Literally everywhere we browsed, went she followed. To a point my teenage daughter told her she was literally on top of her as was entrapped in a small space. This entrapment made us fear for our personal space and safety. She came so close we could feel her warm breathe on us. The experience left my young daughter shaken, alarmed and distressed.
This women should be no where near the public when she displays such ignorance , racial bias and unsatisfactory customer experience. I hope she will be reprimanded and removed from the store, as she is clearly a unprofessional liability.
( the staff in the amptill branch are top class and should retain the bedford branch)
