Gym needs some TLC.
There aren't enough carabiners for all the cable machines.
There is space where there could be machines and also machines that clearly are never used. The space looks poorly utilised.
Hitchin pure gym is smaller, but better variety.
The flavoured water station is a stingy gimmick, I get it if you only want to dispense 500ml, but making the space so tight that you can't fit normal water bottles under is just poor design or petty.
There is a water fountain, but no water tap, so make sure you bring your own water.
The massage chairs are a nice touch, but not a game changer.
Staff seem friendly.
Plenty of parking.
The gym has some good views which definitely sets it apart from other gyms that often have little to no windows. And the studio space is Huge.

I visited a few times on a day pass as it is a convenient location for me when I stay in Bedford.
Quite a good size gym actually but the usual problem I guess in that there simply isn?t enough out for the number of users at peak times, so you end up waiting ages to be able to do anything.
If you go at quieter hours, then happy days!

Great facilities. Needs more variety of classes at later times in the day.
Air con needs to be controlled better. Could do with more equipment and replacements.

Disappointing Experience at PureGym Bedford ? Membership Cancelled
I recently decided to cancel my membership with PureGym Bedford due to growing dissatisfaction with the facility. One of the major concerns was the noticeable lack of equipment?several essential machines and weights were either unavailable or constantly out of order. This not only disrupted my workout routine but also led to longer waiting times, with queues forming around the few working stations.
To make matters worse, even the existing equipment was insufficient to accommodate the gym?s traffic during peak hours. I often found myself spending double the usual time just to complete my standard training circuit, which quickly became unsustainable. A gym should support efficient fitness?not hinder it.
In the end, I concluded that PureGym Bedford no longer met the basic standards I expect from a professional fitness facility, and I?ve decided to look elsewhere for a more reliable and well-equipped gym environment.
Limited equipment and long wait times at PureGym Bedford doubled my workout duration?decided to end my membership due to ongoing dissatisfaction.

Bedford pure gym is busy as hell all the time have to wait for each machine until it gets free. Recently joined it will go back to the old gym.
Not recommended to people who wants to do a quick workout.

Good gym but showers not the best. Changing room often cold. Lockers can be hit n miss if they lock or not. Many need a bit of maintenance

Yesterday and today did a spin class with Tyler. She is new to this gym and I can tell you these classes were incredible ? hard work but worth it especially when she comes around and adjusts your resistance pushes you to your limits ??? I will definitely attend more of her classes in the future all the best to her ?
