Rooms are decent for price. Staff member was very friendly and helpful. Location is great overlooking the river. Only downside there is a lot of homeless people outside hotel asking for money

I stayed here for one night while attending a nearby event. The hotel itself was as expected?clean, simple and convenient and the beds are lovely. But the breakfast situation was a bit of a shambles.
Despite advertising a full breakfast for £10.99, they had no milk. The mentioned that a delivery hadn?t arrived, which is a poor excuse really. I worked in logistics and deliveries are always in a delivery window, and never a guaranteed time, and they must have known the evening before that they were low.
No milk means at breakfast means no black tea, no milky drinks from the coffee machine, no cereal, and no scrambled eggs. I can live without the cereal and eggs, but tea and coffee is a pretty fundamental part of the breakfast routine.
I could literally see a shop from the restaurant window, but no one seemed empowered to sort it. Each customer had to be individually told there were no hot drinks, which made for a string of awkward conversations.
What baffled me most was the lack of any proactive solution?or even a gesture like a small discount. Come on, Premier Inn, someone could?ve walked to Tesco! It created a poor experience on an otherwise okay stay.

The only positive I can honestly say is the location. As soon as you enter the front doors you are greeted with an overwhelming smell of stale cigarette/urine/sweat. The smell is through out the building, although less of a smell in the room. Stains on our room ceiling and walls. One bath towel for two guests, we were given another towel from reception staff. Bed and bathroom were ok. Staff in the restaurant were very pleasant. Food was basic, cooked breakfast very bland. Cleanliness in the restaurant was ok. Would I stay here again- no.

I loved this hotel, the room and location. A great place to stay for the beer festival this weekend.
It was very quiet, the bed was super comfy and had a nice view of the river from my window.
The only things I didn?t like was that on check in and checkout, the whole process didn?t involve any people/receptionists at all. I had to enter my own details and produce my own keycard. It wasn?t very personal at all and no late checkout was available at this hotel.

Room was fine only problem was the Room key cards constantly deactivating on a daily base's over a 4 night stay.

Room was OK. Staff brilliant as usual in a Premier inn. Thanks to chloe who looked after us particularly. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow.

Checked in Sun 22/9. Front of house staff, Sarah & staff v.pleasant indeed. When Zizzzi opposite were SHUT @2130 ? for pizza ?. Returned to Hotel & Sarah swiftly ordered a pizza , when restaurant is closed. Sarah exclaimed the guests are the most important, very nice to o hear. I think(management) sensible people is worth MORE than diamonds, emeralds & pearls, take that has you wish. Sarah is her name .

Can't fault the staff or the rooms, only bug was the lack of a restaurant and multi storey parking, unsure why they only have 3 starters, 5 mains on menu, most other Prem Inns have a proper restaurant attached, had to have take away food so week.

Primary reason for choosing here is it's location. Amenities all around are close by not more then 5 to 10 minute walk. Transport links very Good. Food much preferable to go out to eat as I did. Local River Cafe serves a better Breakfast then where I stayed.
Rooms: Clean and tidy but not clean as II expect with my standard.

Food and drinks: Premier Inn offer much for vegetarians, being a Muslim I am already limited to what I can have and with the fish being cooked in beer batter it?s a real disappointment

A good room, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the restaurant has great views of the river. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I wouldn't normally bother to review a big cookie cutter chain like this, as nobody working there has any real choices about what they do, and it's not like there's a deluxe tier or anything. But I had an older relative staying for a fair while whilst some building work was being done and I really noticed where the staff could make a difference, they did. Pride posters, colouring in for the kids, iced water on hot days, offering to get you a tea and just generally caring about who you are and what brings you there. If only all places did a decent job with a great attitude like these people. More power to all at Riverside, we appreciate you.
Walkability: Ideal location

If this is the new idea for Premier inns keep going bar and resturant on site no walking down the road put that with your normal great standards , brilliant
