Helpful and welcoming staff. I recently switched from Starling Bank to Nationwide because I wanted a physical bank. Being a building society it gives me very competitive products that other banks don't.As someone who is an advocate for mental health and making things more accessible it would be good to see Nationwide adopt a mental health champion in branches. In the past I have tried to explain things to them but they have not really understood.Edit: I have upped my review stars from 4 to 5. Today (11.02.24) I entered the branch at 4.29. All the counters were closed, because I was in before 4.30 they opened a counter for me. This may be a small thing but it really helped me as it was urgent. This is customer focused banking. Thank you for the help today!

Banked with them for years but have finally got fed up with the poor service, terrible phone system and unhelpful staff. I suggest people make up there own mind where to bank but unfortunately I can't recommend Nationwide. Be careful that they don't dump you to their variable SMR as they put little effort into you avoiding it. Very frustrating.

The staff are always so incredibly helpful and friendly, even when they are busy. Julian was so helpful to me today, he went above and beyond and helped me in a way that my other well know high street bank of 20 years wouldn't.I highly recommend this branch. Thank you.

I take the time to add this opinion because this is how we were treated despite the fact that I am a bank customer but now I know that I do not have to go where the service people know where and why they work and that they serve the bank's customers. I do not recommend !!!!! !!!!! The monkey would do better !!!! Service is arrogant Complete lack of professionalism and empathy Very incompetent and rude service. The client is an intruder to themLack of knowledge in the field of efficient customer service And this one star is there to be able to add opinions at all, I personally do not give any starWe were in the branch today because we have a loan taken out in this bank for a house and we want to make an additional payment, not necessarily today and not necessarily in their branch we have our bank elsewhere, fortunately the lady who approached us when we entered the bank has no customer service training immediately You can see it by her behavior, despite the fact that I said to her several times that I only want to confirm only the details of the possibility of making such a transfer, she still did not know what to do first, as if she understood that we want the same account number that we have assigned to the mortgege that we had more of her with us We showed how she saw the number instead of confirming the account details so that we could make an overpayment without thinking if it was a good number, she started showing us on the screen how much we pay for a mortgage, since we have been paying for a mortgage every month for almost two years, we know how much it costs from the rest the bank itself sends the client such details for me it is logical but not for this one Mrs. She did not know what to do and she wanted to get rid of us and this will show them, they will follow us, a queue has already formed and a waste of our time approached her, some gentleman in a suit looked serious and behaved like that for a day or goodbye he told her what to do, the woman had a problem to print everything she had already done with this gentleman was a total failure and they printed the same thing that we could have printed ourselves on the mortgage website and we only wanted a confirmation officially from their bank branch because we could do it but we were afraid whether they are still up-to-date sometimes something may change and you are then more sure that this information straight from the bank's branch is up-to-date and up to date. Poor service unhelpful and rude and long waiting times are related to their professionalism, or rather lack of them, very low level of customer service, the worst service I have experienced so far, and the employees themselves value themselves more than the customers who make this job. And this one star is there to be able to add opinions at all, I personally do not give any star The staff at the entrance to the bank welcomes you and serves you

Really lovely staff who go out of their way to be helpful. Haven't had any issues with any of my accounts very happy to be a customer of theirs.

Not happy with the branch. I was in the queue and one of the Nationwide workers came up to me and asked me if I need help in another way as the queue was long so I explained my reason as I had an issue with my card and then another Nationwide worker lady went towards her and interrupted me and both of them just walked away from me which I found incredibly rude as I was still talking and didn?t even get an apology. I am Autistic and got other mental health problems and that just made things worse for me as I felt invisible after. I won?t be going back there again. Those 2 ladies should be ashamed of themselves. How dare they treat a disabled person like that. Completely out of order.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The worst bank/building society that I have ever dealt with. Unhelpful, rude, won't even try to help a customer in difficulty one of many issuesI tried to cancel a pending transaction and having spoken to the firm that i would have purchased from Nationwide made every excuse not to sort this out and 5 days later the funds are still showing as pending in my accountThis is the 5th time that i have had cause to complain this year so unprofessional
