Firstly, I've been with Lloyds for over 20 years and have various accounts with them ranging from Business accounts to every day savings accounts.They used to be helpful and polite but recently, a combination of bank closures / staff shortages has turned this once quite prestigious bank into a poorly run one staffed with rude unhelpful staff. The monthly fees I pay to have accounts does not justify how useless their service is. Shame on you!

Called in at Bedford without an appointment, two members of staff welcomed me. Both very polite and could not have been more helpful.

I don't know if this is even gonna be a successful visit... I have been standing at the desk for the past 45 minutes and to be honest... Don't think it will be for anything as no one seems to be coming to help.

It was Saturday morning and we needed to open a under 19's account. The bank that we tried first would not deal with us without an appointment (shame on you TSB). It looked to be a similar situation here but the friendly lady at the main desk informed us we could simply apply online via smart phone and they would then verify. Within 10-15 mins we were all set up and had an account opened.
