The staff at this branch are incompetent!!! I went in to change my name, but after three attempts on three different occasions with three different staff members, they still couldn't complete the task properly. One staff member was particularly moody and even ignored my request to send out new bank cards reflecting my name change. I called the call centre instead, and they resolved the issue in a single phone call!

Awful bank, awful staff who would rather fob a customer off than actually help then. Branch manager is a waste of space. Anything needs his sign off good luck you'll be waiting months.
Whole branch needs a course in how to treat it's customers with a bit of respect.

I had an experience so stressful I have decided to completely switch to a competitor and never use Halifax again. I have been sent on a wild goose chase just to switch my current account to a student account and get mixed messages on what counts as "official" letters of evidence by my college after having 2 official letters being rejected. I have been banking with Halifax since I opened my first account in 2016 and it's so disappointing how much they've gone down in quality.

If I could give a negative rating, I would! One member of staff in particular was exceptionally rude. Despite being no spring chicken herself, she treated anyone with grey hair like they're thick or senile, when actually she had the facts wrong! I suggest if Halifax want to keep customers they train their staff to listen rather than make incorrect assumptions.

Very disappointed with the service. I've been back and forth to the branch now 4 times because of incompetent staff and their lack of knowledge on how to open the account and verify the documents so that the account stays open. Spent accumulated 5+ hours on a phone with the customer service giving me different types of instructions on what I should tell my branch manager in order to resolve the problem. Here I go again, on my way to the branch to pass on another message from customer service team on what they should do next so that the account finally will be unblocked.

VERY VERY RUDE STAFF. There deposit machine in branch does not work so I have to go to the desk to make a deposit and every time I do the ladies in the branch make you feel like a criminal putting money in to your account. The lady I dealt with today I think her name was Manjeet or something like that. She was giving attitude and was acting like she didn?t wanna do her job. I will not be entering this bank ever again. They are so rude and make you feel so uncomfortable.

Absolutely top service from Matthew in the mortgage team.Due to having a limited business, the process of applying for the mortgage was not straightforward, however, Matt worked tirelessly to ensure that we not only got the funds secured but at the best rate possible in an ever-changing volatile market.Originally I had made an application online, however, there had been issues with the application process. I called the support number and was put through to Matt, I could not have been luckier that day.Whilst other lenders may have given up due to the many twists and turns, Matt went above and beyond for us, keeping us updated every step of the way.Today we had the money transferred meaning we can start the work on our house in the new year.It truly was the best Christmas present we could have wished for.Thank you, Matt, from all of us.
