Went in this pub for the first time as only just moved to the area. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. The pub had a nice atmosphere and when ordering the food we were asked straight away if we had any allergies. I can't fault the service, the staff, the Food or atmosphere. This is the perfect place to go. Thank you for everything.

Popped in for a pint and chips. No issues until they said my card was declined and I needed to pay again. Turns out I?ve now paid twice. Not sure if honest mistake or scam but won?t be returning.

Attended for a quiz night, which was well organised and good fun. Ate a pleasant pizza. Staff were friendly and polite.

So excited that our local pub is now doing food and it didn?t disappoint!We had the beef burger, the Korean bbq chicken burger and a couple of portions of chips and it was all delicious! The portions were generous for the price and the service was quick. Looking forward to trying the pizzas!

Not been in for three years, turns out there?s a new governor. We were made welcome on the phone and when we arrived. The good news carried on because the pint of Tribute I ordered was excellent. Following a bad experience elsewhere this was a tonic! The wine was also brilliant (I?m told by my partner). Very friendly staff, great venue (mind your head it was built in 23BC, even the Romans banged their heads on the lower beams). What a superb finish to a sunny summer weekend. They have Magnafest going on here soon, we will be back, can?t wait! ??

It has been refurbished, business still growing, beer a little expensive, not sure yet, but has a outdoor space. Good for village. Decor much improved with a good seating area in front bar.
